This image was created when I had the opportunity to photograph twelve Otterhound puppies, at two months old, on their last day together. Most of the time the puppies were in groups but at one point I observed the sad eyes of this puppy with cold paws alone on his fence. I moved in close and went down to his eye level to capture this photo. To accentuate the focus of this piece I added additional textures to soften the background. The title “Moving Day” seems fitting. It is easy to imagine that he will miss his siblings and to hope that he will have a wonderful new life.
